JDOC Marine, LLC has been a dream of mine for decades. As teenagers, a lucky few knew what they wanted to be when they grew up; I had not been one of them. That was until I found myself at an internship my senior year of high school at Independence Cherubini. With no experience I began scrapping boats, painting bottoms, and yard maintenance. It was an indelible experience for which launched my 20+ year marine career.

The following autumn I began The Landing School for Boat Building and Design. I enrolled in their cruising boat program and built their LBS 26. The program consisted of lofting the drawings to scale, building the forms for a cold molded hull and finished with a fiberglass cored cabin top and installing a diesel engine. After a successful test sail around Kennebunkport, ME I returned to Independence Cherubini; where in 2000 my team was commissioned to build a CHERUBINI 48’. It was a complete project from the hull up-to the deck and crafting the cabin completely out of wood. The opportunity was rewarding as seeing and being part of such a significant project. I have roughly spent the last 20 years mastering my craft of fiberglass, gelcoat, carpentry, templating, electronics, engine installations and painting. I am expertly trained in cosmetic and structural repairs.

In 2017, I opened JDOC Marine, LLC, specializing in cosmetic and structural repairs. In my marine career, I have built more than 50 boats ranging in sizes of 8’ to 65’ and I have repaired innumerable boats with minor issues up to complete totals. When I am not in my shop working on current projects, I own a 1984 Formula that I have restored and love taking on the water. It would be my pleasure to mend, restore, and or enhance a boat that you bring to JDOC Marine, LLC.

I look forward to serving you!
